Saul Leiter Featured in Aperture’s “New York” Issue

“The previously unpublished selections of 35mm slides on the following pages confirm and extend our sense of the stubborn singularity of Leiter’s color language,” Randy Kennedy writes in “Saul Leiter: New York in Color,” part of Aperture magazine’s spring 2021 installment honoring the city. The issue—Aperture #242—was released to mark the one-year anniversary of New York’s shutdown during the coronavirus pandemic.
