Steidl’s Saul Leiter: In My Room Book Is Now Available

The Saul Leiter Foundation is pleased to announce that the long-awaited In My Room has been released.

The book, which includes an essay by Carole Naggar and an afterword by Robert Benton, features Leiter’s black-and-white nudes and intimate portraits. 

“They are not simply photographs of bodies molded by light and shadow” Benton writes, “but are a very private diary in which the pages have somehow gotten out of order.”
