As the Saul Leiter Foundation, in collaboration with the German scholar Elena Skarke, begins to catalog the tens of thousands of color slides that Leiter left behind, a new exhibition on the online platform 28 Vignon Street, Saul Leiter: Discoveries from the Slide Archive, presents a series of images on the web for the first time.

“We’re seeing entirely new facets of the Leiter oeuvre in these slides—new motifs, new settings, fresh experiments in photography,” SLF associate director Michael Parillo writes in an accompanying essay.

The exhibition is for viewing only; the works are not being offered for sale. Visitors can register at 28 Vignon Street or log in a guest.
